Everyone loves a good Flash Back Friday, there is something about seeing photos or videos of your younger self that either makes you smile or cringe! I usually look at images of my younger self and laugh, often saying “What was I thinking?” Bad hair or terrible makeup is usually the offender of those cringe worthy moments but no matter how bad I think I look I am always left laughing and remember all the great times surrounding that moment in time.
I love sharing my FBF moments on Instagram, Twitter and FaceBook as much as the next person, so much so that I even do a Way Back Wednesday or Throw Back Thursday when I come across something that just can’t wait until Friday. So with that said I decided that I would start a Flash Back Friday Blog on my website which will be all about my lives food journey thus far. Here you will get to see my food evolution, how my platting has evolved along with food memories that will last a life time! Will there be bad hair, terrible makeup and daggy clothes? Of course!
To start this blog off I thought what better place then when you all first met me! That’s right the controversial Boys Vs Girls MasterChef Australia Ad. This ad gained world wide criticism by many people, which I thought was very disappointing. Just for the record I LOVED this ad and not because I was in it (as many people have said to me) but because I could see the irony in the ad, that sadly most people missed. It reminded me of the 2004 movie Stepford housewives or the opening sequence of the 1990 movie Edward Scissorhands, both of which I love. Hopefully now that I have pointed out both those movies and shared my thoughts on this ad people may see it in a different light? Either way I hope you enjoy my very first Flash Back Friday. See you all next week!
